Next: CES - Day 3 >>

David Lawrence: It*s important to know that if you have a larger network and in the consumers mind a larger network is anything over one computer. And you have multiple devices of mixed type, we have *g* some *b* maybe later on you get a new router and its *n.* You are only going to go as faster in your network as the slowest device in network, yes. Like even if you are not even accessing a computer necessarily the hard drive it*s on and its transmitting and its *b* your whole network is going to be at *b* speeds correct?

Frank Hanzlik: That*s correct.

David Lawrence: That*s part of the backward compatibility. So when we come back I want to talk about *I* because a lot of people are complaining about security and they always do. Whether WAP has been broken irretrievably and also talk about *n* a little bit and we can expect. And how long it will take and I have a whole series of questions. But I don*t like to you know reveal them because then you will probably come up with really witty answers and I will rather you know but you do that on the fly. We are talking with Frank Hanzlik from Wi-Fi Alliance, back with more in a moment.

David Lawrence here for his ZoneAlarm and stophackernow.com. You heard me mention ZoneAlarm probably a gazillion times on the air and the reason I mention it is because it works. Plain and simple it is a software firewall that has been around forever. It*s been beaten on by hackers from around the world and it*s come out as the winner. This is a package that you want to get and here is the problem. Hackers can steal your passwords, they can setup viruses to invade your computer, they can put little password fishing E-mails actually they look really real and you can get your identity stealing, your families* credit can be ruined, you don*t want that to happen. So what I urge you to do is to go to StopHackersNow for what PC Magazine calls the only security product you need it*s the ZoneAlarm Security Suite, select David in the dropdown menu at stophackersnow.com and get $30 off, its stophackersnow.com select David.

David Lawrence: Thank you so much for tuning into the show. This portion of the show is brought to you by register.com for your website domain name and E-mail needs, handholding included call register.com at 1888 register, if you dial at 1800 register I think it*s a foreign line, I am not sure. 1888 Register or on the web at register.com actually if you call SOS Apple their 800 number but you don*t use, you use zero. Okay we thank them for sponsoring our live broadcast here at The Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. We will be here through this Monday night on the air. We will actually be taping a show on Sunday for playback on Monday night. We will be here on Saturday we have got David Pogue coming from the New York Times we have got PC Mike coming from Detroit Free Press.
