Patrick Hinojosa: Yeah it*s a little bit slower but it*s one, it*s free, the definition files are obviously up-to-date to the minute. And you can do it as a troubleshooting. There is people, there is business after they go out and fix peoples computers at home. There is a big one, they are hooked to some store. They can earn these cars, Geek Squad or something

David Lawrence: The Geek Squad.

Patrick Hinojosa: Yeah I was talking to a guy who said first thing we do, we brought some, it*s computer is having problems. We used your active scan as a first diagnostic tool and cleanup tool before we start another work on it.

David Lawrence: There you go. Pandachallenge.com, Patrick Hinojosa from Panda. This portion of the show is brought to you register.com for your website domain name and E-mail needs, handholding included. Call register.com at. 1888 register or on the web at register.com. They are sponsoring our live broadcast here at CES. Coming up, we are going to talk to the WiFi Alliance, we are looking forward to that. My name is David Lawrence name of the show is The David Lawrence Show and we are live on the floor at The Consumer Electronics Show that*s word show 3 times in a row without taking a breath. Back in a moment

This is the Net Music Countdown.

Billie Joe Armstrong sat down with fans for a live discussion in New York this weekend sponsored by the New York Times and their arts and leisure sections called it was Walking Contradiction. The event was moderated by Jon Pareles, he writes for the Times. Boulevard of Broken Dreams. This is Green Day at #9 this week on the Net Music Countdown.

David Lawrence: Well not just two days, we are not from Hollywood. We are just slightly east somewhere in Las Vegas and we are at The Consumer Electronics Show. We are live on the show floor, it*s manufactured in the North Hall. We are about as far away from where you can get a good Starbucks as is possible. And actually once you get the Starbucks and stand in line; it*s another 3 hours. So Frank Hanzlik with us and he is the Managing Director of the Wi-Fi Alliance. Now for those of you that buy 802.11 gear, you have the Wi-Fi Alliance to thank for making sure that all the pieces top to each other, getting the manufacturers together making sure that the standards are kept and so on. There are organizations IEEE and others where the standards are extremely rigid and you don*t get certification unless every *I* is dotted every *T* is crossed. Is that how you run your organization?

Frank Hanzlik: Pretty much, what we do is we take those IEEE standards day and what we do is we develop a certification program that*s going to guarantee that products from one manufacturer can interoperate successfully with the others, so its very bulletproof you know, we really design it to be rock solid.
