Patrick Hinojosa: Yeah, so you probably draw two curves security and performance and you find that crossover point.
David Lawrence: So to make people*s expectations realistic about what they should expect in terms of a performance hit if they have a reasonably fast machine something above 1.5 Gig on XP device not running you know a lot of gaming software, a lot of peer-to-peer networking software that will already bog the machine down because of Ad networks, what kind of a should they expect to take if they run Titanium or if they run the full fledged Platinum package.
Patrick Hinojosa: Oh that maybe 10%.
David Lawrence: 10%?
Patrick Hinojosa: Yeah.
David Lawrence: So people should be aware going in that the price of protection is a little bit of a slower machine.
Patrick Hinojosa: That*s right. You put on a fire wall. You put on inspection of packets I mean more stuff you load up. You know it*s been to a little bit more performance hit. So you could tailor what you are doing at the moment even. You know if you want to play a standalone game on your PC that just sucks every bit of resource in your broadband just you know turn off the broadband while you are playing and you can turn off your protection during that time.
David Lawrence: Oh that*s okay.
Patrick Hinojosa: You know that*s my kid*s doing it.
David Lawrence: But I think sometimes people complain about it because it*s noticeable.
Patrick Hinojosa: Yes well it*s --
David Lawrence: And they will say things like well here is a thing. They will say things like oh my machine runs like a sloth now. And it*s not just your product it*s any anti-virus software. And I think what they are really saying is I have noticed that it*s slower David.
Patrick Hinojosa: Yeah.

After a 30 year career on radio in markets from New York to San Francisco to satellite and network, David H. Lawrence XVII decided to make a change. He hung up his headphones and retired from hosting 3 network/satellite radio shows to head to Los Angeles, to concentrate solely on acting in front of the camera.
Lili VonSchtupp* needed a fresh start. She moved to Washington DC and got her dream job. "I did affiliate relations for Online Tonight with David Lawrence. I slowly worked my way into the producer's chair by impressing David with my assets. (not those assets), my ability to make a CAT5 cable Ethernet cable, type (those of you in the chat room-shut up!) and work a phone system.
